Today I had another post natal followup. I am still not healed. The doctor applied more silver nitrate. I have to go back in another two weeks.

There is a barista at Starbucks who is new in town; she has a 7 month old. She has not found a pediatrician yet so I recommended the practice we use for Ben. We got into a conversation about breast feeding. She was last stationed in Mississippi. She says that breast feeding is uncommon there. No one does it. I thought the "breast is best" trend was prevalent throughout the country. I guess not.

I met the moms for lunch at Olive Garden. We got there a little late because I had to feed Ben before we left. There was a mom there who had a 2 week old. He was only 8 pounds and so tiny. Its only been a couple of weeks, but I forgot that Ben was that small; he is somewhere between 10 and 11 pounds now.

Michael was late getting home from work. He got into a long conversation with his boss about some issues at work. To make it up to me, he took me out to dinner.
