Immunization Shots and Hanukkah

This is Ben's first Hanukkah. Yesterday, we went to Michael's parents place to celebrate. Unfortunately, yesterday was also the day Ben received four (4) more immunization shots. Grumpy was not the word to describe him. He was so uncomfortable their neighbors could hear him down the hall. Plus, we had no Tylenol to give him. After about 45 minutes or so he quieted down but only if someone was over his bassinet playing with him and making noises.

I bought Michael what I think is the best gift ever. I bought him the new book by the Daily Show. He found it by accident. When I got home I was rushing to make bottles so when Michael got home we could go pick Ben up from day care then go to his parents -- it didn't happen that way -- I threw all the presents on the couch, hid his under something then left for his parents. I forgot to hide the receipt. He got home slightly before I did because we took separate cars. He was sitting on the couch as I was walking in and closing the door. The next thing I hear is, "Oh, Honey. You got me something from Barnes and Noble, didn't you?" I said, "How did you know?" When I turned around, I saw him holding the receipt.

We finally gave Ben some Tylenol. Then Michael fed him, while trying to read the book. When he fell asleep, I put Ben in bed; he slept from 11PM to 5AM, but probably because of the shots.
